It does suck that people are not getting the only tangible reward for winning the HoH. My thought - does the spirit die at the same time as the players? Would that take care of the issue? If not...

For specific timing, when the match ends, the winning team becomes invulnerable to ALL damage. One or two seconds later, everything on the map is dealt lethal damage (perhaps 9999).

I Dont pvp at all... Simply Put EoE Is my Favorite PvE Spirit for many reasons, And if it gets nerfed because of this im going to be pissed to freaking hell....
If all spirits Die at the end of battle, Everyone is happy so /signed
If they resurect the winning party 3 seconds after the other party gets auto killed /signed
If they make it so that they Dont die in the end and get auto-tped to HA /signed
If they change the skill in anyway to make it Any worse at all Definatly NOT signed

my simple suggestion for this problem would be to have your unclaimed items appear at the start of the next hall match much like they do after a mission

find a way to MoP 8 ppl in under 5 seconds and keep it up until match ends
sure lets go kill it when there is 1 seond remaining because they had just put it down
sure, lets run CLEAR OUT OF THE ALTER ROOM across teh whole minimap
1 person above 570 will do nothing, the other 7 on your team die, thats another 7*36dmg u have to deal with.
so no.. not really.. there are not that many counters
i think the best way to "fix" this bug would be have everyone on winning party res 5 secnds AFTER the match has ended.. not AS teh match ends

If someday, god willing, I ever make it to the Hall, and by some fluke, my team actually manages to win, I would cry like a little girl. The issue is NOT the balance of EoE or finding a counter or any of that. Players are dying after they have already won, and are not rezzed, leaving those drops to go to waste. In PVE, this would be like if as soon as you killed the darkness in tombs you were instantly teleported out.

okay cool guy... so easy to counter when your whole team is dead and still have the alter and you win and die agian. man thats smart(majority of the time this does not happen but it still does). " hey guys lets leave the ghost on the alter while we run out of eoe's range"... " hey guys lets not wear sup runes of minus health"
or how bout... 20 secs left... no one notices a eoe.. why? because they aare all busy yelling and screaming at the monks to do their best to keep ghost alive.. okay gg.

And instead of saying that our attitude sucks because of a bug that has the potential of preventing what the winning team earned and then telling us to "find a way to counter it", you can just go f... and don't come back until you actually have a way to counter it in ALL situations.

iway isn't what he's OP is complaining about...it's the game mechanic that causes all opposing party members to die at the end of a match that he is saying needs to be fixed. No one is asking for an EoE nerf or whether the skill is 'broken' or not...the argument is simply concerning the mass auto-death at the end of a round that triggers EoE. As stated earlier, an added mechanic to simply rez the winning team's party 3 seconds after the victory would be a sufficient fix. I'm not sure where all the argument is coming from

Please, don't be simple minded and pick out an irrelevant fact to defend your point.
Like so many people have said beforehand, this petition is not about nerfing Edge of Extinction. In fact, if it's balanced, I wouldn't change it, and neither would anyone here, I'm fairly certain.
What this petition IS about is fixing Hall of Heroes mechanics that prevents the winning team from claiming their reward. Sure, you might have won. But if you're dead, you're not going to get your sigil.
It doesn't matter that Edge of Extinction can be countered. You can't ask EVERYONE to pack all those counters for the sole purpose of being able to claim a reward for winning. And frankly, it is damn difficult to counter something that is dropped a second before the match ends, no?
Think about this. How many skills in the game kill all your opponents around you instantly, at the same time? Clearly Edge of Extinction is not designed with this in mind. That is why the end of Hall of Heroes matches needs to be fixed, so Edge of Extinction does not prevent people from claiming their rewards.

1) its hard to keep EVERYONE about 570 health when you are getting attacked by two teams.
2) Lets run off the altar, the other team wont bother capping to win.
3)Lets waste a elite on a monk for a skill JUST to beat a bugged mechanic!
